Navy-blue cloth boards with bright gilt title to spine and covers. This set has attached to volume one a typed unsigned letter from Erie Clark Hapwood, editor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer to Allen Nivens describing the Fremont artifacts in Cleveland, Ohio storage (which were sent to Nivens for his book). To the rear of volume two are affixed two letters from Nivens to a Mr. Paul L. Einstein who did the actual retrieving of the aforesaid artifacts for Nivens. Both are on World stationary, the first typed and signed, the second in Nivens' script & signed. A fine set without previous owners' names or other markings.
