Girard, Kansas: Appeal to Reason. Very Good. 1907. Broadside. Taylor was republican governor of Kentucky who was alleged to have murdered his liberal rival but was given sanctuary in republican Indiana. The catalyst for the broadside, however, was the abduction of agitators Pettibone et al. from Colorado and the Supreme Court's decision that it wasn't objectionable despite its having been accomplished through (in their words) "fraud and connivance." Wear and occasional splits at folds; nail puncture from hanging (see image). High definition scans available upon request. ; 7.75 x 11 inches .
